This review is from: Apple MC556B/A 85W MagSafe Power Adapter for 15 / 17 inch MacBook Pro (Personal Computers) This charger was used. There were a lot of scuff marks all over it. In addition, the manufacture date was 2009 as evidenced by the manufacturer specs. I returned it immediately! This review is from: Apple MC556B/A 85W MagSafe Power Adapter for 15 / 17 inch MacBook Pro (Personal Computers) Not sure where the negative reviews came from, but the charger I received was indistinguishable from the OEM charger that came with my 15″ early 2011 MBP. Except it has a cleaner cord I guess. I used this one every day at work in the office, and use the OEM at home every night, and notice no difference: no fraying, no extra heat, no funkiness with charging, nothing. Works great. Make sure you double check the plug design and model number, but other than that you should have no issues. Very pleased at 1/3 the price.
